Coffee & Wifi: Store Street Espresso

On the edge of Bloomsbury sits Store Street Espresso café. This has become one of my many regular cafes as it doesn’t struggle to keep up its consistency when it comes to coffee and food. It has a well thought out space for working, meetings, eating and drinking coffee. Its space is quite large with many tables to grab, and a large table in the back that’s good for laptops, including many plug points that are dotted around the cafe.

They serve unfailingly excellent coffee, which is Square Mile and a guest espresso that changes every so often (it’s currently Extract coffee). They also do great herbal teas and local juices for the non-coffee drinkers. The service is very friendly and prompt, with no waiting around or lukewarm coffees. In their glass cabinet they have carefully stacked sandwiches that are full of fresh tasty ingredients, and great cakes that proudly sit on top. My recommendation is the crème brulee tart – it is mouth-watering (as seen above).

Store Street has a very clean atmosphere with natural bright light glaring through the ceiling windows. Its ambient electro music (most of the time) creates a nice calm background noise to get your work out for an hour or so, without feeling like you’re being forced to leave after your coffee. The wifi is free and fast.

The cafe has a frequent turnover of artists that exhibit their works along the spacious white walls. It’s great to see a café using its space for creatives to present, as cafés are often where the creatives create.
